27 Dresses Movie

So I ordered the movie On Demand from Comcast. I had been wanting to watch a cute romantic comedy for a while, but I didn’t want to drive my husband crazy. I almost picked it up when we went to Blockbuster, but I didn’t. So while he was at work, I ordered it. By the way, this is one of the main reasons I love comcast! I turned on my indicator on Niteflirt stating that I was accepting calls, and instead of spending hours promoting and the such, I just leaned back and watched my movie.

The beginning of the movie we are watching as Jane (played by Kathrine Heigl) is running back in forth between two weddings. We see her love of weddings, but also how much passion and her soul goes into each one. The rest of the movie is basically her sister falls in love and is about to marry Jane’s boss, a man she has been secretly in love with for years. She as a good sister helps her sister plan the wedding SHE wanted with her boss. Her sister even uses thier mom’s wedding dress as her own and gets married in the one location Jane wanted to get married, where her parents tied the knot. While all this is going on, Jane’s real love interest, a man that drives her crazy, is a reporter who is there to interview about the wedding, but secretly is just there to do a piece on Jane who has been to 27 weddings. Kevin begins to be Jane’s conscience and Jane starts to unravel right when it hurts her sister the most… the night before the wedding oh and shit hits the fan when his article comes out. Obviously the whole thing becomes a mess and we love that!

I thought 27 Dresses was a cute movie. It was funny when it needed to be. It was serious when it needed to be. It was a bit cheesy at parts, which I am totally fine with. I love watching Jane’s struggle as well as Kevin’s as he falls in love with her. It was obviously very predictable, but I am fine with that when it comes to romantic comedies. I want everything to work out for everyone in a nice little package! I thought they acting was pretty good and the movie made me smile. It was just what I wanted from it. I didn’t cry.. not really a tear jerker. I give it a 7 out of 10 for just being ok and cute.. it wasn’t awesome and didn’t get me to cry!
